Avila
The Wall was built after the city was retaken from the Arabs. It has some 80 towers including the cathedral tower which has the church built into the wall.
Segovia, Spain
Roman settlement and the location of a cathedral and Castle.
Roman Aqueducts
Most of the aqueducts at underground (symbolised by the marker on the road) but they are maintained and kept in working condition even though they are no longer in use. Impressive really 😀
Alcazar de Segovia
A castle that was held by Roman, Arab and then what became Spanish royalty
Paella and beer... Yes please
Madrid Business Lounge
Madrid was nice but didn't really capture me like Venice and Rome. Maybe it was the language gaps (my fault for knowing any Spanish) but it kind of felt like it was missing something. Lacked the wow factor that I felt in Italy, and having historical monuments and buildings covered in graffiti was almost upsetting. Anyway on to London, which I'm excited about, 15 years ago i left Adelaide for a stop over in KL on my way to London but I ended up staying and never making it to London. No regrets of course but it's nice to finally get there :DRead more
