On January 25th, 2025, only 62 days away, I'm embarking on a 20 day trip through Turkey and Greece and I'm really excited.
First up: Istanbul, the city where history and culture collide. I'll be spending six days exploring ancient ruins, bustling bazaars, and indulging in Turkish cuisine.
I'm also planning day trips to Bursa, the Ottoman Empire's first capital, and the iconic Gallipoli, where I'll pay my respects to the brave ANZAC soldiers. This has been one of the places I have always dreamed of visiting, although I had always imagined it being for an ANZAC day service. That will need to be another time 😃
Next: I'll fly across to Athens in Greece. I'm really excited to see the Acropolis, Parthenon, and other ancient wonders. While it might not be peak beach season, I'm still expecting plenty of sunshine and stunning views. I'm even planning a day trip to the breathtaking Meteora Monasteries.
To add a touch of island paradise to my trip, I'll be spending a couple of days on Santorini. Known for its iconic white-washed buildings, caldera views and the best sunset in the World, I am really happy to be visiting this amazing location..
Then: I will fly back to Turkey, but this time Antalya and the real highlight of my trip, joining my team at the Awesome Motive retreat. I can't wait to connect with everyone again.
Most of my planning and bookings are done, I just need to book in some walking tours or other smaller tourist activities closer to the time. It's going to be a great trip!
