This is my personal website. I keep what it collects to a minimum, and I don't sell or share anything about you. If you have a question about this page, get in touch.

When you send me a message

The contact form sends me your name, email address and message, along with the page you sent it from and the country your connection comes from. It arrives as an email in my inbox, and I use it only to reply to you. I don't add you to a mailing list. If you'd like me to delete our conversation, just ask.

To keep spam out, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that you're a person without tracking you across sites. The message is delivered by Resend, an email service.

Visiting the site

The site is served through Cloudflare, which handles your IP address to deliver pages quickly and protect the site from attacks. To see which pages are read, I use Cloudflare Web Analytics: it doesn't use cookies or identify you, and I only see totals, like how many people visited a page.

The site itself doesn't set cookies. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary one to tell people from bots.

Images and maps

Travel photos and article images load from Google Cloud Storage, trip maps from OpenStreetMap, and some article images from my apps' websites. Like any website, those services see your IP address when your browser fetches an image from them.

My family

The travel journal includes photos of my family, shared by me. If you appear in a photo and would like it taken down, let me know and I'll remove it.

Your rights

You can ask what I hold about you (usually just our emails), ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Write to me through the contact page.
