WP Team Map

A simple WordPress plugin that allows site members to plot their avatar on a World Map.

WP Team Map was built for the LevelUp Team Portal as part of a project to increase team member engagement and interactions. It's a simple plugin in truth that makes use of Leaflet.js to plot team member avatars on the World Map.

WP Team Map has a number of useful features that make it user friendly and simple to implement on any WordPress site.

Leaflet.js vs Google Maps

No need to setup complex Google Maps API credentials. Leaflet.js just works and it looks beautiful.

Member grouping

Team members that reside in close proximity are grouped together to keep the map clean.

Blocks & Shortcodes

Add the WP Team Map elements via Gutenberg blocks or shortcodes for wide compatibility.

Quick location add

Users who have not saved their location data are prompted in a map overlay and can "use current location"

Secure location

Even when using the "use current location" feature, the actual coordinates stored are mapped to their nearest city for security

Search and filter

The "directory" shortcode enables country or team member filtering that will filter the directory and map elements.
